Important Information for all Regions
Please be aware that members of the NEC will be visiting regions and conducting spot checks on registrations for both players and officials during the course of the 2011-12 season.
Please note that teams may only have a maximum of 3 bench officials on the bench during a game and ALL must be registered and hold up to date CRB certificates.
Any team found to be having a non registered player(s) and or an official(s) on the bench during a game(s) will be reported to the NEC where disciplinary action may follow.

Applications For Superleague Officials 2011/12
The Superleague Co-ordinator is looking for Coaches/Managers for the 2011/12 Superleague Teams.
Application forms can be found on the "Help" on the right hand side.

Winter Tournament
As some teams are still short on numbers, the season will start with aWinter Cup Tournament
This is to be played over two days
Saturday 26th November at Ebbw Vale
Sunday 11th December at PYH Swansea (Christmas Theme)
This is a Club Tournament and Teams MUST play both days.
RULES
Maximum of 5 players (not inc goalie) If a team does not have a goalie they can use a floating goalie
Each game is 2 x 5 mins
It is intended each team will play each other twice each day (between min 6 to max 8 games a day depending on age group)
There will be a 8 goal deficit mercy rule (when there is an 8 goal difference, the game will carry on but no further goals recorded)
There will be NO individual player points, but the teams will be playing for cups and trophy positions.
If a club is able to enter 2 teams then these teams must be of equal ability (not one super team)
£20 inclusive of ref fees, per team per day (league will subsidise any shortfall)
Forfeit of £60 per day - COMMITMENT IS ESSENTIAL AS ANY FORFEIT WILL DISRUPT THE CONTINUITY OF THE TOURNAMENT

15th September 2011YGH are hosting a camp at the Ebbw Vale Leisure Centre over 27th - 28th October.
The times are
U10 - U12: 9am-1pm Thurs & Fri.
U14 - U16: 1pm - 5pm Thurs & Fri.
The cost is £60 for players & £40 for Goalies

Tournament 29th Oct 2011 Rotherham
15th September 2011Norton are hosting an u10, u12 and u16 1 day tournament on the 29th Oct at Simply Skate Arena.....
This is open to any Bipha Team, Entrance fee £90 for a full day of fun hockey.....
We are hoping for 6 u10s Teams, 4 u12s and 4 u16s......
If your team would like a place please let me Jane Morris know and she will inform Sarah Finney.
Emergency General Meeting
15th September 2011The AGM was poorly attended, with only 2 non committee members attending from across the region.
Due to only 3 re-elected members, and no volunteers coming forward, there is now insufficient committee members to run a BIPHA league in this region.
The same people who feel obliged to continue in their voluntery roles to ensure hockey in this region, will not be forced to carry on anymore as others refuse to make a contribution.
The league therefore will not recommence until this can be corrected.
An Emergency General Meeting will be held on:
Sunday 2nd October at 3pm venue TBC but will be in or near Cardiff.
Attendance from at least one club representative across junior and senior age groups is required at this meeting. This is compulsory if the club/ team would like to be included in any future fixtures.
There are plenty of players ready to start the season, fixtures have started to be produced and players are registered, but teams have now got to take responsibility and ownership.
The season will not continue until after the meeting date and only then if good attendance allows issues to be resolved.

The motion to change the Match penalty to a 3 Match Ban or a period of 1 month, whichever is the greater was passed.
The motion to have a North and South NTD was passed.
The motion to allow foreign nationals and UK citizens who do not reside in geographical boundaries of the UK to be allowed to become members was changed to allow residents of the Republic of Ireland only to become members of BIPHA.
The motion to allow a memebers previous disciplinary record to made available at a disciplinary hearing was passed.
Rob Shelton was appointed National Development Officer.
David Graham was appointed National Secretary.
Dave Shelton was appointed National Competitions Manager.
David Graham was appointed National Membership Secretary.

SUPERLEAGUE DATES FOR 2011-2012 PUBLISHED

After the success of this years event, we will again be having all age groups run over the Easter weekend.
