Guide to the Rules of the Game - In line hockey Is played on an enclosed Rink or Pitch measuring about 40 x 20 metres. Free standing goals are positioned at each end of the rink about two metres away from the ends. Along the sides of the rink are the players benches, penalty box and scorers & timekeepers box.
There are sixteen players and two net minders in a squad of players. Only four players and one net minder are allowed on the pitch at any one time, this is called a line.

After gaining possession of the puck the object of the game is to proceed up the rink and shoot into the opponents goal by defeating the net minder.
Fouls can be called for many offences which may result in the player having to "cool off" in the penalty box. Fouls include tripping, Checking (Aggressively charging at another player), holding and interference.
Play is split into set periods averaging fifteen minutes long depending on the competition.
