Code of Conduct for users of Pontypool Active Living Centre For the attention of Hockey Players, Parents, Officials & Visiting Teams.
To maintain long term use of Pontypool Active Living Centre as an in-line hockey venue please adhere to the following code of conduct . Offenders can be banned from the Centre for the remainder of the day with persistent offenders having longer, total bans or exclusion orders imposed.
The following Code of Conduct applies to all Hockey Players, Parents, Officials, Managers, Coaches, Spectators & Visiting Teams
ü Respect other users of Pontypool Active Living Centre. ü Follow any instructions given by a member of staff. ü The striking of any object, for example pucks, balls, stick tape, cans, etc. off the playing surface is not permitted. ü Skating anywhere outside the main sports hall is not permitted. ü When arriving at or leaving the Centre players must walk and not skate. ü Use the litter bins provided. ü Cars must be parked in the designated bays. No cars to be parked in emergency or disabled bays. No parking is allowed past the barrier on the pedestrian bridge without prior permission. ü Players must be wearing full kit at all times on the playing surface, including warm up and training. ü No pucks are allowed on the playing surface until all boards and safety netting is in place. ü If a member of staff needs to walk on the playing surface, play must stop immediately and all pucks must be returned to the centre circle until instructed. ü Any person causing damage to the Centre will be liable for the full cost of repair or replacement. ü Obscene language, gestures or any other threatening or unreasonable behaviour directed towards any members of staff, other users of the Centre, other players, officials, spectators or visiting teams is not permitted. This applies to the whole of Pontypool Active Living Centre and Pontypool Park including the Car Park. ü No smoking is allowed in any part of Pontypool Active Living Centre. If you are a Hockey Parent, Managers or Coach it is your responsibility to ensure that everyone adheres to this code of conduct. If you see any breach of these rules inform a Club Official, a League Official or a member of staff.
