About the Club -Pontypool Skater Hockey Club was formed in 1996 and is managed by a committee elected each year at its Annual General Meeting.
The Club is affiliated to the
British Inline Puck Hockey Association

The club is run by voluntary coaches and officials and. Training is provided by the English Ice Hockey Association.

The Cost of Membership -
The British Inline Puck Hockey Association Registration fee is around £20. This allows the player to take part in competitive games and provides a level of insurance cover.

Training - Players receive one hour training per week which takes place on Wednesday evening at various times between 6.00pm and 10.00pm.

Club Monthly Fee: - this is currently £12 per month but may change if the amount of children training reduces, or the Club's overheads increase throughout the year. It covers the cost of hiring the hall at Pontypool Active Living Centre for training. This sum must be paid to the Treasurer by standing order on the first Wednesday of every month.
It also covers the cost of entering the teams in the League and the registration of the Club officials i.e.. coaches, managers and officials.

Matches - The playing season for league matches starts in September and is completed the following April. This is followed throughout the rest of the summer until June by tournaments and play-offs for the British Championships. Games are played at neutral venues on weekends. Match Fees of £2.50 are paid for league games this is to cover the amount charged by local leagues and covers the cost of hiring the facilities.

The Clubs: Pontypool, Caerphilly, Cardiff, Howardian, Swansea, Carmarthen, Cardigan, Gloucester (Note - Not all clubs have teams in all age groups)

Age Groups - The club has mixed boys & girls teams in the following age groups: Under 10, Under 12, Under 14, Under 16 , Under 18 and Under 21 . To play within an age group, a player must be under the age limit on the 1st January of the year the season starts. (The season starts in September). The club also has an under 10 girls team (The Panthers)

The League - The club currently play about twelve games in the British Inline Puck Hockey Association South Wales Leagues. If successful in those leagues the club also play in the British Team Championships. Friendly games and tournaments are also played.

ABOUT THE CLUB
