Pontypool Active Living Centre is being re opened on Saturday 23rd September 2006 after a £7 million refurbishment. Its the new name for Pontypool Leisure Centre to reflect the wide range of services available from it.
Here is a taster of what you can expect to find.

•  Under 18s after school club.
•  Three Club 50 mornings a week for anyone aged over 50.
•  Resident 'Healthy Living Team'.
•  35 station fitness suite.
•  Registered playgroup, creche & Treasure Island multiplay facility.
•  Five court sports hall.
•  New ground floor cafe/bar.
•  25m pool with improved spectator viewing and two new hydroslides.
•  In-Spa treatment room with massage, physio & alternative therapy treatments.
•  ance/exercise studio.
•  All new village style changing facilities throughout.

It has been developed by Torfaen Borough Council in conjunction with the Welsh Assembly, Sports Council for Wales, and Local Health Board WANLESS Funding.
The project was managed by KEIR CONSTRUCTION.
