UNDER 18's WIN SUPERLEAGUE    Recently added news logo.

Posted 3rd February 2010 by Jane Morris- BIPHA South Wales Chair.

On behalf of BIPHA South Wales I would like to congratulate the Welsh Under 18 squad for their incredible acheivement, in beating the best of the best and winning this seasons Superleague competition.
With no purpose built facilities and, fewer competitive experiences, this squad, like all our Welsh teams, showed that clear directive coaching, sheer hard work , fitness, extreme discipline and determination are the key components that are needed to become the best in the country.
This squad was tested to the extreme, and showed immense team spirit and determination that left me quite in awe and immensely proud.
Most of the members of this team have previously been in teams themselves, that have suffered heavy defeats week after week, but by sticking with it, and drawing on these qualities, have over the years reached the very top of the game. I mention this as I hope their success, this weekend, will inspire all in our region.
Congratulations, Eric, Paul, Jordan, Alun, Gaz, Andrew, Will, Trent, Ashley, Cam and Mark.

BIPHA South Wales Under 16's runners up 2009-2010 I would also like to congratulate the Welsh under 16 squad. This team again, showed that same enourmous welsh spirit and talent as I described above, and played fantastic hockey, winning most of their games. Their team spirit, discipline and hard work was again, very inspiring.

Congratulations, Eric, Nick, Matt D, Matthew P, Harri, Ryan, Jake, Craig, Gio, Billy, Aled, Martin and Luke The behavoiur and attitude of all these boys this weekend, has, as always made us so very proud to be a part of this region. Thank you, Congratulations and well done to you all.

IMPORTANT NOTICE FROM THE STATS OFFICE

Posted 25th January 2010 by Graham Collins

As we are now well into the seaon, the amount of data being held and processed to produce the league tables and other stats is massive.
In order to produce accurate data that reflects the true league and player positions it is important that game sheets are filled in accurately and delivered to me as soon as possible after the matches.
I rely on members of BIPHA South Wales to provide feedback. If you feel that a mistake has been made contact me via the feedback form on the website so that I can compare the original game sheet with the electronic version.
The electronic version of the game sheet can be viewed on the website by following the link (game#) in the schedule.

All Game Sheets received up to 25th January 2010 have now been processed and the updated stats are available on this website.

Please help me to produce fast updated stats on the website by keeping mistakes to a minimum

PLEASE PAY PARTICULAR ATTENTION TO THE FOLLOWING;

Senior Fixtures

Posted 22nd January 2010 Updated & by Carl Durham 4th February 2010

Senior fixtures for the rest of the season. Once these games are played the League will be split in 2. Top 6 A league and bottom 6 B league. You will then play the other 5 teams in your league a further twice.
Can all teams please check these fixtures and make sure you have played all the other 11 teams once. All the games that were forefiets, I have rearranged back into fixtures. Some teams may have to play 3 games on one day. But every team will have a minimum of 2 games per day.
The fixtures on Sunday 24th Jan at Pen yr Heol has 9 games. We will be pushed for time , but as Cardigan have only 3 games left, I didnt want to drag them all the way to Ebbw Vale for 1 game.

Fixture List Updated

Posted 21st December 2009 by Graham Collins via Pat Jagus

The remaining fixtures for the junior season are now on the website. Carl Durham will schedule the seniors' fixtures in due course, but the dates are shown on this schedule.
With teams pulling out part way through & now the fire at Afan Lido affecting seniors' games, we have had less scope than usual to schedule as effectively as we would like, so they are not always as pretty as we would like them. However I have tried to spread any long gap scenarios around the clubs, though this is not always possible. Teams that missed games as a concession earlier in the season may find they have 3 games on a day to catch up & be fair to others. On rare occasions teams may now only have one game on a day.
Please note your officiating duties & ensure officials are present immediately the preceding game finishes (or at the start of the day if you are responsible for the first game).
Merry Xmas & good luck for the rest of the season,
